On a recent trip to Disney World, we experienced some pretty chilly weather, and we were not prepared. I purchased a Mickey hat and gloves set for my son, and he loved it! He wore it the whole time we were there, but the weather warmed up on our last day and he didn’t need the hat or the gloves. He put his gloves in his coat pockets.

At some point during our exploration of Disney’s Art of Animation, we lost one of his gloves. However, we didn’t know it until we got home and unpacked. We checked all of our bags, all of our pockets, and the glove was nowhere to be found.

I told Siri to remind me to check with Disney’s lost and found to see if someone had picked it up, but I kept putting it off because I didn’t have the time to spend hours on the phone searing for a white glove.

After a month of Siri telling me to look for his glove, I had a few minutes, so I googled “Disney World Lost and Found.” I located the most detailed lost and found form I had ever seen in my life. They wanted a description of the item that was lost, where it was lost, location and estimated time that it was lost, color, size, shape, etc. It took me just a few minutes to fill out the form, and I got an e-mail right away confirming my submission. My submission time was 1:00pm.

By 1:11pm, I got an e-mail saying that they might have found my lost glove! In the e-mail was a link, and I was instructed to click the link if I wanted to get my item back. I said that I did, provided my mailing address, and by 1:19pm, I got a tracking number for our lost glove! The whole process took less than 20 minutes!

I had a slight suspicion that Disney just grabbed a new item off the shelf and sent it to me since the whole thing went very quickly, so I waited and watched the mail to see what would be delivered. To my surprise, my son’s one white glove arrived in less than a week from my submission! In the bag was a paper detailing when, where, and by whom it was found.

On top of this all, Disney didn’t charge me anything for this service. Locating, packing, shipping – it was all free.

I have always been impressed by Disney’s high-quality customer service, and this just solidifies my belief that Disney has actual magical fairies working for them! Disney’s Lost and Found gets a five-star review from this relieved Mama!
