Space 220 is an out-of-this-world dining experience that is sure to tickle your taste buds.
Let’s take a look:
Space 220 is located in the Mission: SPACE building in EPCOT Future World. The entrance is located on the right as you approach the building.
I was so excited to try Space 220!
An outdoor corridor leads to the outside check-in location.
Check in at this desk in the Departure Lounge. You’ll need dining reservations to sit in the restaurant, but there is a walk-up list if you’d like to sit in the lounge, which is first-come, first-served and has a limited menu.
Space 220 literally elevates your dining experience… to space!
You’ll get a boarding pass for your ride. The host or hostess will collect it back from you, but it is a nice touch.
When it’s time to go, you’ll board a special space elevator that will take you to the restaurant 220 miles above the earth.
The restaurant definitely has a “space station” vibe.
You can even look out the “window” and see the earth!
The view really is incredible. Photos don’t do it justice – it looks much more impressive in person.
There is both bar and table seating.
For a space station, the restaurant is quite spacious.
The Food
This table-service restaurant features American cuisine, cocktails, and a wide selection of craft beers. Let’s take a look at some of the menu items!
Space 220 has a prix fixe menu for adults and children for both lunch and dinner. Adults are $55 for lunch and $79 for dinner, and kids are $29 all day. The lounge area has an a la carte menu. Some of the items are also on the restaurant menu, but some of the items are unique to the lounge.
Let’s start with the drinks. Of course, they have your typical offerings like soda and juice and milk for the kids. Space 220 also offers some fun drinks for both kids and adults like the Moon Rocks, which is coconut, Blue Cotton Candy Syrup, Lemonade, Moon Dust, and Moon Rocks (or pop rocks). For adults ages 21 and older, there is a wide selection of drinks including the Celestial Cosmopolitan, The Big Tang, the Nebula, Planetary Punch, and the Stargarita pictured below.
The Stargarita is Herradura Plata, Cointreau, House Made Agave Sour, and B’lure. It was delicious.
Appetizers are called Lift-Offs. Options include Big Bang Burrata, Starry Calamari, Blue Moon Cauliflower, and salads.
The Neptune Tartare is Yellowfin tuna, Yuzu Miso, Soy, Avocado, Raddish, Apple, and Sesame Crackers.
Next up is the Star Course. Options include tuna, salmon, steak, chicken, maccheroni, and the Centauri burger (below).
The Centauri Burger is a signature beef blend, white cheddar cheese, bacon, shredded let’s, tomatoes, fried potato wedges, and sriracha aioli.
The burger is packed with toppings and oh so good!
