Vote For The Disney 2014 Logo As Part Of Limited Time Magic

Disney wants you to select their dated art logo for 2014.

Disney has announced the next activity in its line of Limited Time Magic promotions. This one is unlike the earlier promotions, which included a dance party in Tomorrowland, and character greetings in Epcot and Main Street USA.

In fact, this event doesn’t even take place on Disney property. It takes place exclusively online.

Behind The Logos

The Disney Design Group is Disney’s in house graphics department that primarily supports the groups that make theme park merchandise. However, they also do other graphics work like designing packaging and also creating other graphic designs like theme park maps and restaurants menus.

Voting For A Logo

The Design group came up with the three different graphics. I would imagine that the winning entry will show up on Disney merchandise that contains dates, like t-shirts and hand bags. Technically, Disney calls this “dated art.” Here are the three different logos:

Disney Logo Option 1 2014

Option 1 – Disney castle with “Mary Blair” type design and colors plus a hidden Mickey.

  Disney 2014 logo option 2

Option 2 – Roman numerals with references to Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck colors and designs.

Disney logo 2014 option 3

Option 3 – Attraction logos, with emphasis on ’14′.

You can vote on the Disney World Facebook page or on the Disney Parks blog page. Voting is open until January 31, 2013.
