Love him or hate him, Stitch has a home in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom.
Of course, you can find the little blue guy in Stitch’s Great Escape, his own attraction where you can enjoy the chili-dog belches of this little mischief maker, but there is also another spot where Stitch has a big presence: the Merchant of Venus Store
One of the exits for Stitch’s Great Escape empties into the Merchant of Venus Store (a second exit for Stitch’s attraction actually exits into another nearby store, Mickey’s Star Traders, which is on the other side of Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies).
The Merchant of Venus is a fun play on words from the Merchant of Venice, a play by William Shakespeare written sometime in the late 1500s. Personally, I like it when Disney plants these play on words, like the “Lock ‘n’ Roll” garage inside the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
As you would expect of a store in Tomorrowland, there is plenty of merchandise with an alien or futuristic theme: Stitch, Star Wars, and Monsters Inc. all have a big presence.
Let’s take a look around the store:
