Disney Junior Live On Stage

Disney Junior Live On Stage At Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Video)

Disney recently reopened the Disney Junior Live on Stage show in the Animation Courtyard section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Based on the music and characters from the Disney Junior channel, kids pre-school age and under – and the ones who love and care for them – are sure to find the look and feel of the show familiar.

From the bubbly music to the crazy dancing (I honestly cannot figure out how that “swing your arms around” dance works), the Live On Stage experience is like stepping into the Disney Junior TV channel.

Recent Changes

The most recent refresh of the show removes Handy Manny and Little Einsteins, and adds in Sofia The First, Doc McStuffins with Chilly, Stuffy, Lambie, and Hallie, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

As you enter the theater, you still sit on the carpeted floor. You will notice plenty of wiggly 4 and 5 year olds in the audience. Fortunately, the story and the effects keep them occupied.

Story And Show

The story involves Mickey Mouse and his friends planning a birthday party for Minnie. Goofy agrees to bake a cake, and Daisy Duck says she will pitch in by hanging up a sign. But everyone soon realizes that they aren’t sure just how to go about these tasks. But by getting inspiration from stories, in the end Minnie gets a super party.

Throughout the show there are projection effects on the set, as well as falling snow over the audience, falling bubbles, and falling gold doubloons (gold colored foil discs).

All this makes for a good time for the little boys and girls, and a fun show of puppetry and music for everyone who attends.
